Jagdish Dore’ inducted into the Board as Managing Director of Matrix Laboratories

Rajiv Malik Relocating to U.S. in Current Assignment as Head of Global Technical Operations for Mylan

Hyderabad, India; 30 June, 2008 -- Matrix Laboratories Ltd. (Mumbai Stock Exchange, 524794; National Stock Exchange, MATRIXLABS) announced today that its Board of Directors has confirmed the appointment of Jagdish Viswanath Dore’ as CEO and Managing Director of Matrix Laboratories Limited. Dore’ assumes the responsibilities of Rajiv Malik, who was promoted in October 2007 to Executive Vice President and Head of Global Technical Operations for Canonsburg, PA-based Mylan Inc., which owns a majority share of Matrix. Malik, who had been serving as Matrix’s interim CEO, is relocating to the United States as part of his new position with Mylan. Mr. Malik would continue to serve on the Board of Matrix as a Non-Executive Director.

Dore' joined Matrix after a distinguished 29 year career with Sandoz, most recently as Managing Director and India Country Head. In this role, Dore' was responsible for all of Sandoz's operations in India including global development and manufacturing; local and export sales; day-to-day operations; and technical operations in the Asia Pacific region. He was previously responsible for business operations in the Asia Pacific cluster and involved in the startup of Novartis Enterprises Private Limited (now Sandoz), Novartis Consumer Health India Private Limited and Master Builders Technology India Private Limited, India.
