Matrix Laboratories is pleased to announce the joining of Mr. Sanjeev K Sethi as Senior Vice President (Pharmaceuticals & Technical Services). Mr. Sethi brings with him over 17 years of rich experience in global generic pharmaceutical industry.

Prior to joining Matrix, Mr. Sethi was the Deputy Head of Global Research & Development at Sandoz, the generics arm of Novartis based at Vienna, Austria, and the world's largest generics company. At Sandoz, Mr. Sethi was responsible for product flow to the US, EU and Canada markets from six development centers of the company located in India, US, Canada, Slovenia, Austria and Argentina. His responsibilities at Sandoz include liaisoning between the global functions of product portfolio, manufacturing, sourcing, patents group and supply chain for decision making and risk mitigation at different stages of the product development and registration with an aim to ensure Day-1 launch. He was the pivotal member of the core team that designs the project strategy at Sandoz.

Mr. Sethi had about 15 years of work experience with Ranbaxy in the areas of pharma research and international regulatory affairs. Mr. Sethi has Masters in Pharmacy from Punjab University, Chandigarh. He is the principal author and team member for 10 US patents and 5 PCT applications.

Mr. Sethi's appointment emphasizes the Matrix's new strategic thrust on Finished Dosage Forms (FDFs) business in its efforts to become an integrated player in the pharma industry. Mr. Sethi's rich experience across the functions of the FDFs business will be of great strength to Matrix in executing its strategy.
